Research programs based on Bruno Maggi’s Theory of Organizational Action (TAO)

How do firms change? How does work change? How are these changes related to each other?
What are the relationships between the choices that structure the work processes and the health of the subjects?

The Research Program “The Organization Workshop” is aimed at studying how firms change and how work is transformed.

The Research Program, initiated in 1983 and coordinated by Bruno Maggi, former Professor of Organization Theory at the University of Bologna, is based on the Theory of Organizational Action.

The Interdisciplinary Research Program “Organization and Well-being”, formally constituted in the 80s’ after more than a decade of interdisciplinary research about work and health, is aimed at identifying the relationships between the choices that structure the work processes and the subjects’ health as defined by the World Health Organization in terms of physical, mental and social well-being
